Mukta Palshikar, PhD

I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the Korsunsky Lab. My research interests include developing computational methods which exploit multi-omics datasets to learn the mechanisms of inflammatory and autoimmune disease. Prior to joining the Korsunsky Lab, I obtained my PhD in Biophysics with Dr Juilee Thakar at the University of Rochester. I developed algorithms which train on multi-omics data to model condition-specific immune signaling networks. When I'm not in the lab, I enjoy teaching bioinformatics, contributing to open-source software, and spending time outdoors.
